Some long overdue footage. In addition to my LED spray can, I wanted to be sure it wasn’t the same experience. I had one instance setup with projected background images to inspire the random artists. The second installation had multiple scrims angled in front of the main work area. This created an altered image from the artist point of view. Unfortunately my camera was not setup at the best capture position.
Thanks to Deborah Martin at SAC for inviting me back to The Spring Arts Gallery & to all the brave random artists who shared their creativity.

2009 Upcoming Shows & Content

Happy 2009 to you all! My apologies for the lack of posts. After taking a brief hiatus due to health issues, I am finally catching up with editing footage from prior shows and posting new dj/vj mixes (audio & video). In the works are a few upcoming shows, so stay tuned.
Finally, some exciting news as my installation will be included in a segment along with my biggest influences on G4TV!!! Video from the piece will be posted this week.
Footage From “888 - Art of War” Event

So here it is, finally! I changed the edit to show the work in real time instead of speeding up the clips. I think this gives a better perspective on the creative process for each artist. I also used my video mixer to blend my vj app along with the program. In addition to the installation, I managed to juggle DJ’ing for the event to give a true “Sight & Sound” experience (see turns behind the scrim). Unfortunately, there were some issues with my camera so I missed a lot of artists who used the installation. Coming up…ART WALK!!!

Here is the prototype completed in the middle of August. I will be returning to the Spring Arts Gallery for Downtown LA’s Art Walk to debut the new instrument. It will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2008. Don’t miss it!
